In a significant stride towards sustainable energy generation, India’s leading state-run electricity\u00a0producer, NTPC Limited, marked a historic moment with the commencement of commercial\u00a0operations at its Simhadri thermal station in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This remarkable\u00a0achievement was celebrated with the commissioning of a 15 MW floating solar PV project, furtherenhancing the facility’s total installed capacity to an impressive 25 MW.<\/p>

NTPC proudly announced, “Consequent upon the successful commissioning of 15 MW capacity,\u00a0Simhadri Floating Solar PV Project at Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh is hereby declared on commercial\u00a0operation w.e.f. 10:00 AM of August 21, 2021,” in an official statement.<\/div>
