About This Project
Floatex Solar is proud to partner with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) on a groundbreaking initiative to establish two Floating Solar PV Power Projects at the BPCL Kochi Refinery in Kerala. This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions and our dedication to environmental sustainability.
The initiative includes deploying a floating solar power installation over an 18-acre Rain Water Harvesting Pond within the Kochi Refinery premises. This project is designed to generate 4.6 MW DC/3.2 MW AC, utilizing the refinery's internal electrical grid for energy consumption, thereby enhancing energy efficiency and reducing reliance on external power sources.
Additionally, a second project is set to be developed across 14 acres at the Shore Tank Farm (STF), approximately 20 km from the primary refinery site. This installation aims to produce 5.2 MW DC/3.7 MW AC, with a strategic plan to use the Kerala State Electricity Board's banking facility to manage energy consumption and exports effectively.
Collectively, these projects will contribute a total capacity of 15 MW, with each unit boasting a wattage of 545 wp, anchored securely using the Deadblock system. This innovative approach ensures stability and durability and showcases our technical expertise and forward-thinking approach in the renewable energy sector.
